Winter on the way

November has been so mild, I'm still picking kale from the garden. Which is lucky, because the ones in the greenhouse are being comprehensively nibbled by caterpillars.

This morning was the coldest yet, -8C/17F but gorgeously sparkly. Just a taste of winter.

Or maybe a warning...

You know what's funny? I was out this morning with my camera too, taking photos of all the frosty plants - it was such a lovely crisp, still morning...not a bit of wind.

Beautiful images, Amanda. Winter was slow in coming this year, but with us now. We had some snow, but now it's all melted. But in our climate, like yours, we always have four distinct seasons--even with a "mild" winter. :)
